How many first aiders do you need at work?

The HSE recommends that if you work in a company with 5-50 workers, there should be at least one person trained in first aid. Another firstaider should be in place for every 50 workers after that. Accidents can happen, even in low risk organisations with few employees

What can first aiders not do?
Do not touch an open wound without gloves on. If you do not have any gloves, you could use clean plastic bags or ask the casualty to dress the wound if they are able. Do not breathe, cough or sneeze over a wound or casualty.

This is a 3 day course which can be completed three days together or 3 days over three weeks. … 

What does the emergency first aid at work course cover?

Emergency First Aid at Work – This is a 1 day course and consists of 6 hours first aid training.

How long does emergency first aid at work certificate last?

Certificates for the purposes of first aid at work last for three years. Before their certificates expire, first-aiders will need to undertake a requalification course as appropriate, to obtain another three-year certificate.
